Our swap adventure started in 2018 under the name Awearness Kollektif. We wanted to do something about the overconsumption and huge waste in the clothing industry. We started with creating awareness in different ways. After a while we realised we saw swapping clothes as a simple and above all very nice and fun solution. We had a lot of fun with the events we organized, but we wanted more. Bringing about a real system change and showing how it also can be done.

De opschaling van The Swapshop in de provincie Noord-Holland wordt mede-gefinancierd door de Europese Unie. We ontvangen hiervoor financiële steun vanuit het EFRO (Kansen voor West). Het projectdoel is opschaling van The Swapshop d.m.v. het openen van 5 winkels in de provincie Noord-Holland. De impact als eindresultaat (eind 2029) moet zijn om 50 ton aan kleding voor hergebruik te hebben ingezameld en 10 ton aan niet draagbare kleding als grondstof voor nieuwe circulaire producten te hebben ingezameld en gesorteerd.
