Woolen jacket in Camel color. Made from 100% wool and the lining of 100% polyester. As good as new. With 4 inner pockets, a double button closure with golden knots, 3 pockets on the front and 2 splits at the back.
I loved the concept immediately. It’s a simple and fun way to contribute to sustainable fashion. I see so many nice items in the shop that deserve to be worn. It ́s a win-win; I can say goodbye to items I don’t want anymore, knowing it might make someone else really happy, plus I can add new items to my wardrobe with less impact on the environment. Bonus: lovely bunch of people to work with!
t’s awesome to shop without having to buy new stuff. I don’t really like new stuff. There’s so much stuff already, why make more? But I do like a new wardrobe every now and then. In that way The Swapshop is perfect for me. And maybe even more important: I loooove volunteering there, seeing other people happy with the treasures they’ve found!
Swapping really makes you more conscious, about your purchases. And that you really don’t need the lates fast fashion trends. If everyone can do a little, that goes a long way. So for me, being a volunteer and getting to know some awesome women while doing something good is a bonus.
I truly believe there is too much clothing in the world. The fast fashion industry really has to change. I really believe swapping can be (part of) the future. You can have a whole new outfit and pay almost nothing. So swapping makes the world a little better and at the same time you can enjoy picking out a whole new look.
I find in the concept of the swap- shop the best way in meeting my passion for unique second hand clothes, the love for shopping and giving a second chance to the clothes that I don’t wear anymore. It makes me feel so good! Also I love the community and volunteering: all of you girls are so amazing!
When volunteering I see how many (tons of!) nice clothes people are throwing away/not using, even though they are in impeccable condition. I find swapping a very responsible and creative way to go against consumerism and, as every piece is unique in The Swapshop, to appreciate more the clothes by themselves, no matter the brand or the size.
